Radius Wichita A bottom-up movement to see every person empowered.
A city ready for change

Too many Wichitans face barriers that hold them back from reaching their full potential and living lives of meaning and abundance.

  • 1 in 6 Wichitans lives below the federal poverty line.
  • 1,300 children are stuck in an overloaded foster care system.
  • Educational and mental health resources aren’t robust enough to meet the needs of residents.

But this isn’t the whole story. Wichita is also a community known for entrepreneurship and innovation. Its citizens love their city and work together to solve old problems in new ways. By leaning into the power of community, we can harness the most extraordinary resource Wichita can offer: its people.

Every Person Empowered

Research shows that Americans want to contribute to a brighter future, to be more engaged in their communities, and to collaborate to solve problems. Every Person Empowered is Radius’ partnership with Wichitans who are committed to transforming their city, including:

Business leaders and philanthropists who offer their expertise, networks, and resources for the greater good. Social entrepreneurs and nonprofits who are creating a marketplace of transformative, community-led solutions that eliminate barriers. Community leaders and faith-based groups who are weaving a more resilient social fabric and supporting families in crisis.

Together, we are turning Wichita into a model city, demonstrating what’s possible when we unlock the gifts, talents, and contributions of all people in the places we call home.
