Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the Activations team to succeed within Stand Together’s complex operating model. This role is responsible for leading cross‑functional integration across core community capabilities, including knowledge systems, finance and accounting, and strategy and partnerships, ensuring the team has the structure, insight, and resources needed to execute effectively.

This is not a traditional project management or administrative role; it is an execution‑oriented operations position designed to help the team move faster, reduce risk, and scale sustainably. If you excel at navigating complex systems, bringing clarity to ambiguity, and ensuring critical work gets over the finish line, this is a high‑impact opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

  • Own and drive the integration between the Activations team and Stand Together’s core systems, with a primary initial focus on knowledge systems and finance
  • Ensure initiatives, investments, and deliverables are properly documented, tracked, and maintained in the appropriate systems
  • Partner with stakeholders to structure work in a way that meets community standards: payments, contracts, and investments are processed accurately and on time and information is captured consistently to support reporting and compliance needs
  • Build strong internal processes to ensure high quality monitoring and execution of priorities.
  • Coordinate and synthesize input from multiple cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring clarity, alignment, and follow-through
  • Support cross-functional initiatives, like major activations and partnerships, by ensuring operational readiness, documentation, and systems integration
  • Establish and improve internal workflows and processes
  • Track and report on basic KPIs and operational metrics to support visibility and accountability
  • Identify gaps, risks, and inefficiencies in current operating practices and proactively propose practical improvements grounded in reality-based constraints
  • 3+ years of experience in operations, program operations, business operations, or a related role within a complex, cross-functional organization
  • Experience working within a matrixed or multi-entity operating model
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflows and initiatives that span multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Track record of creating structure, documentation, and processes that help work move from idea to execution
  • Experience partnering with finance, budgeting, or systems teams to support tracking, reporting, or payments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize input and drive alignment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a willingness to experiment and iterate
  • Ability to remain composed and effective under changing priorities
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM / tracking systems
  • Exposure to knowledge management, compliance, or reporting workflows
  • Prior experience supporting partnerships or large-scale initiatives across organizations
  • Competitive benefits: Enjoy a 6% 401(k) match with immediate vesting, flexible time off, comprehensive health and dental plans, plus wellness and mental health support through Peloton and Talkspace.
  • A meaningful career: Join a passionate community of over 1,300 employees dedicated to improving lives and driving innovative solutions to complex social challenges.
  • Commitment to growth: Thrive in a non-hierarchical environment that empowers employees to discover, develop and apply their unique talents.
  • Competitive compensation: Our approach rewards the value you create through competitive salaries and bonus opportunities, allowing you to share in the success you help drive.
